H5000 Update: Unzer Replaces Faulty Devices

Many merchants around Germany have recently been experiencing technical issues with Verifone H5000 terminals. Due to a certificate error, the popular payment terminals are no longer functioning. Unfortunately, the fault cannot be fixed remotely: the faulty devices need to be manually repaired or replaced.

As a payment partner, we have been working hard to find a simple solution for our merchants. To ensure our merchants can start accepting card payments as soon as possible, we have set up an online service where they can request replacement devices. Unzer merchants with the affected Verifone H5000 terminals can simply fill in a few details online to order free replacements.

How it works:

• Visit our online replacement service and fill in the form. You will need your device’s serial number and terminal ID. You can find these written in your contract and on the device itself.
• You will receive an email. Print out the returns label attached to the email.
• Follow the instructions in the email to properly pack and return your faulty device free of charge.
