Google Pay is the e-Wallet of the US company Google Inc. The digital wallet can be loaded with credit or debit cards, yet also with alternative payment methods such as reward points or gift cards. Shoppers then use these to pay for items, above all in online shops. However, they can also use the Google Pay App on their smartphone in brick and mortar retailers. Since no bank details are transmit-ted during the transaction, the payment is considered secure.
